Battle Hill is about an hour's drive from Wellington.  There are several plantation forests in the area, some of which are being harvested now.

Here're some of the shots taken on New Year Day 2001.  Two years on, the tracks have now become wider or improved to accommodate the logging trucks.  In many places they're like a highway to four wheel drive buffs!  Every summer we join up with the Wellington Regional Council and give rides to those who participate in the summer programme organised by the Council to see the sunset at Battle Hill.
